Try-out Class
  • Students new to the class are entitled to one try-out class without any obligations to enroll.
Dress Code for Dance Classes
  • Children should wear SunnyU dance uniform, pink tights (dance or sports pants for teenage students) and ballet slippers. Hair should be up in a bun or in a ponytail.
  • Adults should wear comfortable t-shirts or tank tops, dance or sports pants and ballet slippers or jazz shoes (but not dance sneakers). Hair should be up in a bun or in a ponytail.
Tuition and Refund
  • Full tuition payment is expected on the first day of class in each session. Starting the second week of class, a late payment penalty of $20 plus $2.5 for each additional week of late payment will be assessed.
  • Prorated refund can be issued only if the request is received before the start of the third week. Starting the third week, no refund will be issued except for medical reasons in which case a doctor's note is required.
  • There will be a $25 fee on all returned checks
Attendance and Make up Policies
  • Students are expected to attend all classes. Missing class puts a student behind in knowledge and curriculum.
  • Please be on time for classes. Students should arrive dressed and prepared for the class. Late arrival is considered a disruption to the teacher and other students. Attendance is crucial for a student's development. Anyone arriving for a dance class more than 15 minutes late may be asked to sit out and watch or make-up the class.
  • Each student is entitled to up to two make up classes per session. Only one make up class is allowed in the summer session. Make up class can only be taken by the same student who missed the class. No substitute of friends or family member allowed for make up class. Classes must be made up within the same session when they are missed. No carry over to the next session allowed.
  • In order to make up a class, student/parent must contact the studio and report the absence before the start of the class. To avoid over crowdedness of class, please contact the studio for approval prior to coming to a make up class.
  • Depends on the location you are at and the level of class you enroll, you may have to take make up class at a different location or in a different level of class. Again, you must obtain approval before taking the make up class
  • Our make up policy is one make up class for one missed class without regard to the length of the classes. In the case where the missed class are not the same length of time as the class made up (i.e. class missed is 1.5-hour and make up class is 2-hour), studio does not charge extra if make up class is longer than the class missed, or allow extra make up class if class missed is longer than the class made up.
Other Policies
  • Students/parents are responsible to fill out required forms and documents, setting up online profile and updating emergency phone numbers
  • Please respect the policies from our rental facilities such as “no street shoes" and “food is only allowed in designated area" etc.
  • Unless approved by SunnyU management, the use of SunnyU email lists or facilities (including rental facilities) to solicit or conduct other business is strictly prohibited.
  • In respect to teachers and choreographers of the studio, please do not perform dance pieces learned during the class outside the studio unless pre-approved by the studio. We will teach one or two study pieces each session. These pieces are not created by our instructor or choreographer. They are for practice only and will not be in our performances. You are welcome to perform these study pieces outside our studio
  • Video taping in class is strictly prohibited
  • Gum chewing is not allowed at any time during class
  • No foul language
  • Students with severe cough, fever, vomiting or diarrhea should be kept home
  • SunnyU reserves the right to determine what level of class is appropriate for the student
